Alberta Historical Resources Foundation

As a registered Municipal Historic Resource, the McKenzie Sharland Grocery benefits from technical advice provided by the Historic Resources Management Branch of Alberta Culture and Tourism and financial support for restoration and maintenance from the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation. Technical advice includes suggestions for materials, construction techniques and sources of information, all backed by on-site inspections and consultation. The Alberta Historical Resources Foundation provides cost-sharing grants for eligible maintenance and restoration work. This has included foundation replacement, roof replacement and asbestos removal.
